Luciana, 42 years old , is an Italian woman who suffers from acromegaly, commonly known as gigantism. She has been suffering from this illness since birth. Her life has been an uphill battle, yet Luciana has found the strength to find beauty and happiness within a terrible struggle. With Luciana’s help I have started a website where we invite photographers to photograph Luciana in order to highlight her femininity and raise awareness towards an issue and an illness that is often swept under the rug, stigmatised and ignored.
